There are a lot of negative connotations with being ‘lost’ in life, I find. We’re expected to know what we want for our lives as teenagers and spend our early 20s working hard and building a career in said aspirations, so we can all become a Director at a multinational company by 40, or something of that ilk.

Not to mention we should have had about 2 kids by then, a beautiful house, fancy dinner parties yadda yadda, you know how it goes.

And while it’s nice to dream big, honestly those aspirations are not meant for everyone, and that’s okay. Which is why I have no shame in slowing down, and taking the time to just breathe every once in a while, with no fear or guilt that I’m losing out to everyone else in the rat race of life.

I hope you’ll always remember that it’s okay to be lost, as a teen, in our 20s, in our 50s, or at any stage of life really.
