When I went to Hamburg, and posted stories of clear blue skies and ample sunshine in the autumn, many who visited before or lived in Hamburg told me how lucky I was to have such great weather.

I’ve always loved the feeling of summer— especially days by the water. I took this photo as I sat by the lake, watching the sailboats drift in the distance, with the gold of the autumn leaves glistening in the sunshine.

It felt like exactly how it looked; golden.
