Most Instagram-Worthy Cafes in Brisbane
Australia’s well-known for their great coffeehouses, and Queensland is no different.
With great coffee roasters and hearty brunch offerings, many of these cafes offer pretty good food as well. I’ve gathered a list of some of Brisbane’s most Instagrammable cafes here, which you should definitely check out if you’re in town.

Industry Beans Newstead
Possibly the most synonymous with being Instagram-worthy, is Industry Beans Newstead.
Located in between the neighbourhoods of Fortitude Valley and Newstead, Industry Beans is what I imagine brunch in an Apple store would look like.
This huge space has plenty of seating to accommodate guests of different group sizes— everyone from solo diners, to couples, to large groups of friends and families.
With daylight pouring in from overhead, the interior is truly stunning.
The menu here is seasonal, with the chefs creating a menu every 3 months centred around local produce.
Industry Beans can also be found in Melbourne.

PICNIC CAFE
Over on the other side of town is Picnic Cafe, located in West End.
Decked out in calming shades of turquoise, this space is livened up with plenty of greenery.
The high ceilings and expansive windows allow the space to illuminated beautifully by natural light, and Picnic Cafe can also comfortably accommodate plenty of diners.
If you’re looking for an Instagrammable brunch, it’s hard to get any more aesthetically pleasing than this.

COFFEE ICONIC
As a coffee-loving nation, it’s not surprising to hear that the Central Business District is also littered with coffee shops, with plenty of office workers grabbing a cuppa before beginning their day or in between meetings for that afternoon pick-me-up.
Located steps away from the main shopping thoroughfare of Queen Street Mall, you’ll find Coffee Iconic, a seemingly nondescript cafe from the outside, before stepping in and discovering they have a gorgeous alley you can sit in, as well as a courtyard behind.
Perfect for an alfresco brunch experience, the menu here is Asian-influenced, though I noticed that their menu changes relatively frequently too.
Many dishes reviewed by Google Maps users were completely different from what was available during my visit.
Definitely one to check out for a more laid-back vibe if you’re in the city.

OTHERS
My short stint in Brisbane meant there were only a few places I stopped by, but if you’re in Brisbane for a couple more days you should definitely check out other joints such as Plant Vibes and Nodo in Fortitude Valley.
Back in CBD, there’s John Mills Himself if you’re into something a little more rugged and grungey, with the exposed brick walls and overhead lighting providing a genuinely cosy space, as well as Felix For Goodness.
If you’re based more in West End or South Brisbane, you’ll also want to check out Morning After., which is especially beautiful when the sunlight is at it’s strongest, and that’s truly when it’s at it’s most Instagrammable.
Further afield in the suburb of St Lucia, If You Say So does have some pretty corners with the coffee counter in frame, though this cafe is much smaller.
Near Kangaroo Point? You’ll want to stop by Cups on Wellington, especially if you love a brown and beige aesthetic.
