Much has been romanticised and written about Byron Bay on the east coast of Australia, a coastal town with hippy roots straddling between the bigger cities of Gold Coast and Sydney. And it is, without a shadow of a doubt, incredibly stunning.

While walking along the shore towards the Cape Byron Lighthouse, we stumbled upon this cove where this couple was having a picnic, and there was something about the way the afternoon light was falling on them set against the backdrop of the stunning coastal view that felt special.
