When you travel, you sometimes meet a lot of different people on the road. As someone who’s lived and worked overseas, that number exponentially increases, and I’m sure I’m not the only one with this experience— with many others going abroad for university exchange programmes and all that.

We sometimes think that we’re just a drop in the ocean; and we mostly are. But we forget sometimes that we do make an impression on others, that something we casually mentioned in passing, may have left a deeper impression than we thought.

I remember an old friend mentioning that he remembered something I’d said when he looked out the window while gazing out to the deep blue ocean and cloudless, clear skies.
