Do you think it’s true, or do you think it’s something we tell ourselves to feel better about bad situations, or situations we have no control over?

The past two years felt like sitting on a shore, with each tidal wave crashing above getting bigger and bigger. Just like the tides, it felt endless. And control? We had none of it. We could only sit there and let the waves wash over us.

But a part of me wants to stay optimistic— because what do we have if we don’t have hope?

So I choose to believe that while many of us have felt robbed of experiences we couldn’t have, or a life we didn’t get to live, that everything will fall into place. And we’ll end up exactly where we are supposed to be.
