Knots Cafe and Living: Botanical Cafe Opens a New Outlet at Pasir Panjang

Knots Cafe and Living is not new to the cafe scene, having been around for half a decade now whilst operating out of their busy Paya Lebar flagship since 2016.

It’s interesting that for their second outlet, they’ve chosen to move into yet another industrial building, this time at the much quieter area of Pasir Panjang.

One of the benefits of course, is that there isn’t much competition around, and there’s a decent mix of offices, students (NUS isn’t far), and a residential community all within the area.

This new outlet largely keeps to the same vibe as the original, with flowers and homeware for sale coexisting in the same retail space.

The menu offers a pretty decent selection, with bites, salads, breakfast plates, mains, pastas, and pizzas.

Starting with the Battered Fish and Chips (S$17.90), you can top up S$2 to switch to truffle fries instead. The dish was alright, pretty bog standard. I did think the fish was a little dry and could have definitely done with a bit more flavour.

The Iced Matcha Latte (S$8.20) and Iced Chai Latte (S$8.20) were good but not cheap, and the former was quite a bit sweeter than what I expected.

Overall, Knots Cafe and Living remains just alright for me.

Whilst many will find the interior very pretty, I definitely have a preference for more minimalist aesthetics and a much cleaner space, as it feels a little cluttered to me with so much going on.

But hey, I’m sure there are many who’d be fans of the look of Knots!

It’s a family-friendly cafe that will please most, but not a brunch experience that will really blow one away in my opinion.

But it’s nice to have another cafe in the area, and judging by the cafe being almost full the weekend of my visit, it seems word has caught on pretty quickly.
